Rug Blocking and Reshaping Process

If you have ever had a rug exposed to flooding you may have a variety of problems. In addition to treating your rug for mould and bacteria and stripping bled dyes, we can also reshape the rug into its original position. We do this by stretching your rug back to its original shape while its wet, stapling it to a block, and then letting it dry. We then starch the rug so the rug retains its shape and looks crisp. This video shows how moisture is completely removed from your rug. The process is similar to the spin cycles on your washing machine – the rug spins at high speeds to extract all moisture. With this process, we can completely remove ingress water, pet urine, or any other liquids that may be in your rug.
