Fitting and Care Instructions

Our high-performance premium underlay has been developed and engineered to obtain the best anti-slip performance on smooth floors (grey side) and the best anti-creep performance on carpeting (black side).

Ensure the floor is vacuumed, clean and dry.
The underlay should be approximately 3-5cm smaller than the rug or mat.
If required the underlay can be easily cut to size with household scissors.
Remove the plastic film from the underlay before fitting.
Do not wash or dry clean the underlay.
If the underlay loses its adhesion over time, use a fine spray of clean water to revive the adhesive and leave to air dry before re-fitting.
If using with an oversized rug or mat, simply use as many pieces of underlay as required side-by-side. Taping or splicing is not necessary.

I can’t praise or recommend the rug laundry highly enough. They have been an absolute delight to deal with since the first phone call.We had 6 carpets that we purchased in Saudi Arabia 30 years ago. They’ve had 4 dogs, 2 kids and 2 completely different environments to contend with ie; sandy and muddy paws/feet and were extremely soiled in places. We had tried to clean them over the years but did more damage than good. So when they were collected by the lovely Aled, I did warn him that they honked. He was very polite and said, “don’t worry, I’ve seen it all, I’m used to it” .So off they went, I have to admit I was a little apprehensive as 4 of theses rugs were expensive Qashqais and impossible to replace. However I’d need not have worried. Within a day I’d had a condition report and a telephone conversation to confirm what we wanted to have done as they offer a range. 2 weeks later we had an email to say they were lovely and clean and ready to be delivered. We were so pleased as we’d really missed them.So, they arrive.....I’m so excited to see them and hope they are not only clean but still in one piece.OMG....they look brand new, as if we had just purchased them 30 years ago. Colours I had forgotten were there, I cannot tell you how happy I was. As each rug was unrolled, my joy increased, I was falling in love with my beautiful rugs all over again.So, my rugs are now clean, smell sweet and are so soft under the foot. I happened to mention to Troy that the gel hand sanitisers were drying out my skin and was starting to irritate. He immediately suggested The Rug Laundry's non-alcohol hand-sanitiser which is a professional grade sanitation (he mentioned some log number which I am informed means a great deal in bacterial and viral control) but it really is much kinder to sensitive skin.Hope they start selling it online soon as I will be needing some more in the not too distant future.

I have used the Rug Laundry twice for cleaning and restoration of an over 30 year old Chinese rug and an over 50 year old 13 foot by 10 foot silk Chinese carpet. The first had an oil spillage and was very dirty and the second had suffered flooding. They came back looking amazing.The large Chinese carpet included changing the lining, which they sourced so it looks like the originally lining. This was a tricky rug to clean a rather unusal fibre composition Troy was reluctant to clean it but was very helpful in discussing the risk .We went ahead and whilst he would have hoped for a better result i am delighted.Would not hesitate to reccomend this very proffessional company to anyone in the UK!

I used prestige to clean a delicate silk Turkish rug that had definitely seen better days. The coloured has seeped in various areas and there were stains. I knew that the final outcome wouldn't be perfect because of the extent of the discolouration but I was very pleased with the final result. It turned out significantly better than it had been.Also I found Prestige very professional from the start. The collection and delivery process was simple and efficient and whilst they were in possession of the rug they kept me updated with what they intended to do with the rug (having done a spot test first).I would certainly have no hesitation in using them again or recommending their services

We took a cream linen chesterfield chair to be cleaned after holiday cottage spillage. Wonderful service, kept us fully informed on how it was going and great results. Small matter of 5 rugs also restored, all look amazing after some tlc from Troy and the team. Hopefully no more spillages, but we will definitely use again for winter/spring clean and thoroughly recommend.
